1 Killed in Georgetown Pedestrian Crash on First Avenue and Lucille Street

Seattle, Washington State (September 28, 2023) – Authorities responded to a deadly auto- pedestrian accident near an intersection in the Georgetown neighborhood.
According to the Seattle Fire Department, the collision occurred just before 6 a.m. on First Avenue South and South Lucille Street.
A car struck a pedestrian in the area in unclear circumstances.
The victim sustained severe injuries and was declared dead shortly after.
The victim’s identity was not immediately released.
The motorist behind the wheels was arrested and charged of vehicular homicide.
Both directions of First Avenue South from Lucille to South Orcas Street were closed while officers investigated and worked to clear the scene. The lanes reopened shortly before 7:45 a.m.
The fatal pedestrian crash remains under investigation.
