Tricycle Rider Killed in Poway Accident on Camino del Norte
Poway, California (November 1, 2023) – An electric tricycle rider was killed in a crash in Poway on Monday afternoon, according to the sheriff’s officials.
The wreck happened on Camino del Norte near World Trade Drive at around 5 p.m. October 30.
Authorities said a 65-year-old man riding an electric tricycle was traveling westbound on Camino del Norte when a Mercedes-Benz SUV driven by a 47-year-old woman rear-ended him.
The rider was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Alcohol was not suspected to have played a role in the collision, police said.
The accident is under investigation.
