1 Killed in Car Accident on Highway 50 near Prairie City Road in Folsom
Folsom, California (August 12, 2021) – A driver died after be being hit by a car shortly after he exited his vehicle after a collision on Highway 50 in Folsom on Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 2:45 a.m. on Highway 50 near Prairie City Road.
The driver is reported to have crashed into a center divider along the westbound side of the highway for unknown reasons. The driver exited the vehicle and was hit by a passing vehicle on the eastbound side.
The unidentified driver died at the scene.
The officers did not release any additional details on the other driver.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
