Authorities determined that a meat truck rear-ended a Toyota Venza and three other vehicles before it rolled down an embankment

Fremont, CA. – 68-year-old Donald Eng has been identified by the Alameda County Coroner's Bureau as the man who died in a collision earlier this month in Fremont.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened on Interstate 680 Freeway at Auto Mall Parkway at around 7 a.m.
According to a preliminary investigation report, a meat truck rear-ended a Toyota Venza and three other vehicles before it rolled down an embankment.
Eng, a resident of Walnut Creek, died at the accident scene.
Two other people were injured in the accident and were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
