Deven Rico Hit Killed by Car on 10 Freeway at Alabama Street in Redlands
Redlands, California (June 21, 2023) – 25-year-old Deven Rico has been identified by the San Bernardino County Coroner's Office as the pedestrian who died after being hit by a car at an intersection in Redlands on Friday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the auto-pedestrian accident was reported at around 9:35 p.m. on June 16, on the westbound 10 Freeway at the Alabama Street on-ramp.
The San Bernardino man was struck by a vehicle in unclear circumstances.
Rico was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
CHP issued a SigAlert shutting down all the lanes of the freeway.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the pedestrian crash is ongoing.
