Pedestrian Killed in San Leandro Accident on 580 Freeway near 16th Avenue
San Leandro, California (June 26, 2023) – A pedestrian was fatally injured by a car Monday morning on Interstate 580 in San Leandro.
Authorities responded to the fatal traffic collision at around 9:30 a.m. on the westbound 580 Freeway just east of 164th Avenue.
For unknown reasons, a pedestrian was walking across the lanes when they were struck by a car.
The pedestrian was declared dead at the crash site.
The name of the deceased was not immediately released.
