Woman Killed in Long Beach Car Accident on 710 Freeway near Seventh Street
Long Beach, California (October 29, 2023) – A woman died, and a DUI driver was arrested after a traffic collision involving an ambulance that happened early Sunday morning in Long Beach.
The Long Beach Police Department said the wreck took place around 2:10 a.m. on the northbound Long Beach (710) Freeway at Seventh Street.
Police said the driver of a car rear-ended a Long Beach Fire Department BLS unit and then struck the center median.
A passenger in the car, only identified as a woman, died in the crash.
No occupant in the ambulance was injured.
The driver of the car was hospitalized with unknown injuries, and arrested on suspicion of speeding and DUI.
