A cyclist collided with a car for an unknown reason.
The rider was thrown down into traffic lanes, sustaining serious injuries, including a head injury. The patient was transported to Carson Valley Health Hospital in Gardnerville, Nevada, for treatment.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
