Airway Heights, WA.– A woman who was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident near Airway Heights last month has been identified as Crystal Schwartz, 38, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The incident took place on Highway 2 near Fairchild Air Force Base at about 9:30 p.m. on August 15.
WSP said Schwartz was walking east on Highway 2 when she moved to the westbound lanes and was hit by a westbound Toyota Highlander that was driven by an 18-year-old Medical Lake resident.
Schwartz was reportedly killed in the crash.
The driver of the Toyota stayed at the scene after the accident.
The incident is under investigation.
