Daniel Glassford Killed in Clairemont Bicycle Accident on Genesee Avenue
Clairemont, California (August 10, 2021) – The San Diego Medical Examiner has identified 55-year-old Daniel Glassford as the bicyclist who died following a traffic collision on July 23 in Clairemont.
The fatal bicycle accident happened at Genesee Avenue and Chickasaw Court at approximately 5:31 p.m.
Glassford was riding a motorized bicycle out onto Genesee Avenue when he slammed into the passenger side of a northbound 2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE63 for undetermined reasons.
Daniel Glassford Fatal Clairemont Crash
Daniel died at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla while undergoing treatment of injuries sustained in the collision.
The involved motorist remained at the crash site and cooperated with the investigation.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
