Clinton Silverman ID'd as Bicyclist Killed in Crash at Magnolia Street and Hamilton Avenue in Huntington Beach
Huntington Beach, California (August 9, 2021) – The bicyclist who died after being struck by a vehicle Sunday morning in Huntington Beach has been identified as Clinton Silverman, 74, of Huntington Beach, according to the Orange County Coroner's Bureau.
The deadly bicycle accident occurred at about 8:50 a.m. Sunday, August 8, at the intersection of Magnolia Street and Hamilton Avenue.
Authorities said Silverman was riding a tandem bicycle with his 82-year-old wife when, for unknown reasons, they were hit by a 2005 Ford Explorer.
Man Killed, Woman Injured in Huntington Beach Bicycle Collision
Silverman was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His wife was also hospitalized with major injuries.
The driver of the Ford Explorer stopped at the scene and was cooperative, authorities said. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the crash.
