Nevada Woman Christiana Gray Injured in South Lake Tahoe Crash on State Route 89

South Lake Tahoe, California (August 7, 2021) – Christiana Gray, of Wellington, Nevada was seriously injured in a traffic accident in South Lake Tahoe Friday morning, according to CHP.

The incident happened on State Route 89 near Luther Pass at about 6 a.m. August 5.

According to CHP,  Stevan Fairover, 56, of Placerville was driving a 2011 Dodge Ram pickup south on SR 89 when he swerved into the northbound lane and sideswiped an oncoming gray Toyota Tundra pickup driven by 43-year-old Tristian Cormier, of Carmichael.

Fairover then collided head-on with a northbound 2006 Chevy 2500 pickup driven by Gray.

Christiana Gray Injured in South Lake Tahoe Crash 

Firefighters responded to the accident and extricated Gray from her vehicle.

Gray and Fairover suffered major injuries and were both transported to Barton Memorial Hospital.

Cormier was not hurt in the collision.

DUI was not suspected to be a factor in the incident.

The crash remained under investigation.
