Woman Seriously Injured in Chico Bicycle Accident at West Sacramento and Nord Avenues
Chico, California (September 7, 2021) – A female bicyclist was injured after being struck by a garbage truck early Tuesday morning at an intersection in Chico, according to the Chico Police Department.
The deadly bicycle accident occurred at about 7:55 a.m. at the intersection of West Sacramento and Nord avenues.
Police said the woman was riding his bicycle in the area when, for unknown reasons, she was struck by a garbage truck at the Chico intersection.
The woman became trapped underneath the truck following the collision.

The woman sustained serious injuries to her leg and was transported to a hospital. Her name and condition were not immediately disclosed.
