Kittitas County, WA – A woman who was killed in a car accident in Kittitas County on Tuesday has been identified, according to the WSP.
The WSP identified the woman as Elizabeth Lukas, 21, of Chattaroy.
The single-vehicle crash occurred on August 26, 2025, on Interstate 90 at milepost 70.
According to WSP, Lukas was driving a vehicle westbound on I-90 when she failed to negotiate a curve and struck a jersey barrier.
The car flipped onto its side in the median following the crash.
Lukas suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said Lukas was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
As per the WSP, failure to negotiate a curve was the cause of the accident.
The incident remains under investigation.
