Bryan Griffiths Injured in Fatal Crash on Highway 1 in San Luis Obispo

San Luis Obispo, California (September 12, 2021) – Bryan Griffiths, 79, of Morro Bay, has been identified as one of the two parties who were injured in a Saturday morning traffic accident that killed a 17-year-old boy in San Luis Obispo, authorities said.

The deadly three-vehicle accident occurred on Highway 1 and Highland Drive at about 6:45 a.m., on September 11.

According to the officials, a 1990 Volvo, driven by the 17-year-old boy, was stopped at a red light. The Volvo then entered the intersection at a green light.

Unfortunately, the Volvo was reportedly struck by a 2010 Ford F-150 pickup truck that ran a red light. The crash impact sent the Ford crashing into a 2006 BMW 750.

Bryan Griffiths Injured in Fatal San Luis Obispo Crash

The boy was taken to the Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Griffiths, who was in the Ford, sustained moderate injuries and was taken to the French Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the BMW sustained minor injuries and was aided at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
