Bruce Rummerfield ID’d as 1 of 2 Killed in Crash at South Santa Fe Avenue and South Avenue in Empire

Empire, California (August 6, 2021) – The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Bureau has identified one of the two people who died Tuesday night following a traffic accident in Empire as Bruce Rummerfield, 53, of Stockton.
The deadly collision occurred just before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, at the intersection of South Santa Fe and South Avenues.
According to the authorities, Rummerfield was riding a motorcycle in the area when, for unknown reasons, he collided with a small gray car on the southbound side of Santa Fe Avenue.
Fatal Empire Motorcycle Collision
Rummerfield was pronounced dead at the scene, while his female passenger was taken to a Modesto hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The intersection of South Santa Fe and South Avenues was temporarily blocked during the investigation.
No other details regarding the accident were immediately available.
The accident remains under investigation.
