Bradley Blackwell Dies Weeks after Being Hit by Minivan on SR 246 in Lompoc

Lompoc, California (October 27, 2023) – 47-year-old Bradley Blackwell has died from injuries he sustained after being hit by a car earlier this month in Lompoc.
The pedestrian accident happened around 8 p.m. on October 7, on Highway 246 near Sweeney Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Lompoc man was walking across the highway when he was struck by a white Toyota Sienna minivan and was thrown over a guardrail.
The man suffered major injuries and was airlifted to Marian Regional Medical Center where he died on October 20.
The 73-year-old Lompoc woman driving the minivan was unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
