Boy Injured in Livingston Bicycle Accident on Vinewood Avenue near Robin Avenue

Livingston, California (September 7, 2021) – A 14-year-old bicyclist was airlifted to the hospital for treatment after being hit by a car in Livingston on Tuesday morning.

The bicycle accident happened at about 7:21 a.m. on Vinewood Avenue near Robin Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The Livingston boy was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Vinewood Avenue when he was struck by an eastbound Ford F-750 two-axle truck.

The teenager was seriously injured in the accident and was flown to Valley Children’s Hospital.

The truck driver, 45-year-old Lane Johnson, of Atwater, pulled over and cooperated with the authorities.

Neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be factors in the collision.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
