Philomath, OR. – A boy was killed in in Philomath on Saturday evening.

The 5:15 p.m. accident happened on Highway 34 near Grange Hall Road, according to the Benton County Sheriff's Office (BCSO).

A 21-year-old woman was driving a 1997 Ford F-350 westbound on Highway 34 when she hit a Ford Escape that was turning east onto Grange Hall Road.

A male juvenile, who was a backseat passenger in the Ford Escape, died while being transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center (GSRMC).

The 26-year-old female driver of the Escape and her front-seat passenger were hospitalized with minor injuries.

The driver and passenger of the F-350 were not injured.

Additional information about the accident was not provided.
