1 Hospitalized after Big Sur Accident on Highway 1 near State Park
Big Sur, California (August 9, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a two-vehicle collision that left one person with serious injuries late Sunday afternoon in Big Sur, Monterey County.
The major injury crash involving an SUV happened on Highway 1 near the Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park at approximately 5:45 p.m.
The circumstances that led to the collision on the roadway were not immediately established at the report time.
Due to the impact, the SUV overturned onto its side.

As per the report, one unidentified person was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of major facial injuries sustained in the accident.
