Woman Hospitalized After Point Loma Bicycle Accident on Point Loma Boulevard

San Diego, California (November 1, 2023) – A 41-year-old woman was hospitalized with serious injuries after she was struck by a car while riding a bicycle Monday night in Point Loma.
According to San Diego police, the incident happened around 10 p.m. in the 4300 block of Point Loma Boulevard.
Police said a 41-year-old woman was riding a bicycle westbound in the No. 2 lane when she was hit by a Lexus traveling in the same lane.
The cyclist suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. She was hospitalized for treatment.
The victim was reportedly wearing dark clothing and did not have bicycle lights on at the time of the collision.
Police said alcohol and drugs are not believed to be contributing factors.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
