San Jose, CA. – San Jose police say a man who was injured in a bicycle accident that happened 11 years ago in the city has died from his injuries.
The crash took place around 12:20 p.m. on March 4, 2013 near Azucar and Discovery avenues in South San Jose.
Authorities said the man was riding a bicycle headed east on Azucar when he collided with a woman driving a Toyota Corolla also traveling in the same direction.
The cyclist was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. He was later stabilized and then placed in long-term care due to the extent of his injuries.
Police said the man died of his injuries last week on October 22. His name was not mentioned.
