Oroville, CA. – The Coroner has identified the two people who died in a car crash last week Tuesday in Oroville.

The fatal collision happened on northbound Highway 70 on the Feather River Bridge, just north of Montgomery Street., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Beatrice Higgins, 62, of Oroville, was driving a white Volkswagen CC northbound on the highway when she came to a stop for unknown reasons.

Meanwhile, Elijah Kinser of Oroville, was driving a red Ram pickup truck on the highway when he failed to notice the stopped Volkswagen and rear-ended it.

Higgins and her passenger, James Moore Jr., 58, of Oroville, were killed in the accident.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
