Barbara Solve has been identified by the Sonoma County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office as the Cotati woman who died after rear-ending a Range Rover on Highway 101 in Petaluma

Petaluma, CA – 90-year-old Barbara Solve has been identified as the Cotati woman who was killed in a car crash in Petaluma on Monday evening.
The woman was driving a Honda CRV northbound on Highway 101 around 4:42 p.m. when she crashed into the rear of Land Rover Range Rover near East Washington Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Solve was traveling at an unsafe speed for traffic conditions when the collision happened.
Solve was rushed to Petaluma Valley Hospital by Petaluma Fire Department personnel where she later died, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office.
The 48-year-old man from Petaluma who was driving the Range Rover sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
