One Person Killed in Bakersfield Pedestrian Crash on Highway 178 at Union Avenue
Bakersfield, California (September 13, 2021) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a semi-truck on Monday morning in Bakersfield, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident transpired at about 10:16 a.m., on Highway 178 at Union Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was struck by the semi-truck on the highway in unclear circumstances.
First responders arrived at the scene and found a man lying on the roadway. Sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Further details regarding the mishap were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
