Man Suffers Major Injuries in Bakersfield Bicycle Accident at Union Avenue and 19th Street
Bakersfield, California ( August 11, 2021) – A bicyclist was seriously injured Tuesday in a traffic collision at an intersection in Bakersfield, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
The major injury crash took place at the intersection of Union Avenue and 19th Street.
Police said a man was riding his bicycle across the road at a red light when he collided with a vehicle that was passing through the intersection on a green light.

The bicyclist sustained major injuries and was taken to a hospital. His name and current condition were not available.
The woman driving the vehicle did not suffer any injuries in the accident.
Intoxication or speed was not considered factors in the collision.
