Pedestrian Dies in 101 Freeway Crash at Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles

Los Angeles, California (October 30, 2023) – Authorities are investigating a deadly pedestrian accident on Highway 101 in Los Angeles on Monday morning.

The deadly crash happened at about 5:36 a.m. on southbound Highway 101 at Santa Monico Boulevard.

It was not immediately clear how the crash happened but the California Highway Patrol say a pedestrian was killed in the incident.

Lanes 3 and 4 of the southbound 101 freeway were shut down at Santa Monica Boulevard on-ramp.

No additional details regarding the crash were provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
