Bakersfield, Calif. – The Kern County Coroner's Office has identified the 41-year-old woman who was struck and killed while riding a bicycle in Wasco as Gloria Soto.
Soto was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Gabriela Garza, 21, of Wasco was later arrested for hit-and-run causing death.

Bakersfield, Calif. – A 21-year-old woman has been arrested following a deadly hit-and-run traffic collision that killed a woman on a bicycle in Waco Sunday evening, according to Kern County Sheriff's Office.
The fatal crash happened at about 6 p.m. Sunday, November 12, in the area of Poso Drive and Palm Avenue.
Deputies from Kern County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and found a female cyclist, later identified as a 41-year-old woman, suffering from severe injuries.
Despite life-saving measures from the deputies, the woman succumbed to the injuries at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the bicyclist fled the scene.
The suspect, identified as Gabriela Garza, 21, of Wasco, has since been arrested, KCSO reported. Garza faces hit-and-run causing death and other vehicle code charges.
