At Least 1 Hospitalized After Fairfield Car Crash on Interstate 80 near Red Top Road Off-Ramp
Fairfield, California (June 30, 2023) – At least one person was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision that happened Friday evening in Fairfield, the California Highway Patrol said.
The collision was reported just before 7 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 80, just west of the Red Top Road off-ramp.
Three vehicles, including a black Lexus and a white GMC truck, were involved in the accident.
One person was lying down in the center divider with injuries.
The Fairfield Fire Department responded to the scene and blocked the No. 1 lane.
At least one person was taken to NorthBay Health Medical Center with a broken femur and hip.
One of the drivers was reportedly driving a stolen vehicle.
Investigators are working to determine the factors that led to the collision.
