Armando Beltran Killed, 2 Injured in Wrong-Way Collision on SR 99 near Lander Ave in Turlock
Turlock, California (June 23, 2023) – Armando Beltran, 54, has been identified as the man who was killed in a car crash in Turlock early Tuesday morning.
The fatal crash happened at around 3:17 a.m. on Highway 99 near Lander Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Turlock man was driving a sedan southbound in the northbound lanes and collided head-on with a Tesla.
The impact of the collision caused Beltran’s sedan to overturn and catch fire.
Beltran was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The 37-year-old Escalon man driving the Tesla and his 6-year-old son were hospitalized with major and moderate injuries.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
