Anna Mejia Killed in Sun Valley Crash on 5 Freeway at Hollywood (170) Freeway
Sun Valley, California (August 21, 2021) – Anna Mejia, 32, has been identified as the homeless woman who was hit and killed by a vehicle in Sun Valley on Friday evening, according to the coroner’s office.
The accident took place on the southbound 5 Freeway connector to the southbound Hollywood (170) Freeway just before 7:13 p.m. August 20.
According to authorities, Mejia was standing on the freeway, for unknown reasons, when she was struck by a vehicle.

The report said that Mejia died at the scene of the collision.
The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The incident remains under investigation.
