Police said an 83-year-old woman was driving a 2021 Mercedes Benz GLC300 north on Scripps Ranch Boulevard when she tried to turn right onto Aviary Drive and collided head-on with a 2014 Nissan Maxima traveling southbound on Aviary Drive
San Diego, CA.- An elderly woman was injured in a car crash that happened in the Scripps Ranch neighborhood on Thursday evening, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The wreck took place in the 10030 block of Scripps Ranch Boulevard at around 7 p.m. November 28.
Police said an 83-year-old woman was driving a 2021 Mercedes Benz GLC300 north on Scripps Ranch Boulevard when she tried to turn right onto Aviary Drive and collided head-on with a 2014 Nissan Maxima traveling southbound on Aviary Drive.
A passenger in the Nissan Maxima, a 72-year-old woman, was taken to a hospital with a skull fracture.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
