Tonopah, AZ – Six people were killed and thirteen others hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision Saturday afternoon in Tonopah.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety responded to the grisly wreck at around 1 p.m. on Interstate 10 near milepost 88.
The police said multiple tractor-trailers and sedan vehicles were involved in the crash. The impact of the incident caused multiple vehicles to catch fire.
Six people died due to the collision and thirteen others were hospitalized with various injuries.
The identities of the victims were not immediately disclosed.
The accident impacted the eastbound and westbound lanes of the freeway for several hours.
