Police said an 18-year-old man was driving a 2015 BMW eastbound on J Street when he slammed into the rear of a 1998 Honda that was stopped facing east mid-block on J Street.

Sherman Heights, CA – Several people were injured when multiple vehicles collided early Sunday morning in Sherman Heights, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The wreck took place in the 2400 block of J Street at about 1:37 a.m.
Police said an 18-year-old man was driving a 2015 BMW eastbound on J Street when he slammed into the rear of a 1998 Honda that was stopped facing east mid-block on J Street.
The impact caused the Honda to strike two other vehicles parked in the area.
The driver of the BMW was transported to a hospital with an open fracture to his left leg.
Five other parties in the BMW were taken to hospital with unspecified injuries.
No further details were released.
Police are working to determine the cause of the collision.
