Tacoma, WA – Three drivers were injured in a three-vehicle collision on Sprague Avenue in Tacoma Monday afternoon.
The incident happened at around 4:29 p.m. on November 25 on Sprague Avenue and State Route 16.
Reportedly, a 45-year-old Everett man was driving a tanker truck carrying argon gas southbound on Sprague Avenue and approaching Highway 16.
The drivers of a Toyota Prius and Toyota Corolla were heading northbound on Sprague Avenue when the tanker truck driver made a curve on the entrance ramp into the northbound lanes and struck both vehicles.
The Everett man was taken to Tacoma General Hospital and has been arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and two counts of vehicular assault.
The driver of the Prius, identified as a 35-year-old woman from Tacoma, and a 55-year-old Port Orchard man driving the Corolla were taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma for treatment.
All three vehicles were totaled. The road was blocked for four hours.
An investigation is underway.
