An SUV driven by Cole Jacob Warren, 26, of Clatskanie, was traveling west on Highway 30 when it swerved into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with an eastbound SUV

Rainier, OR.- Three people were injured in a head-on collision in Rainier in Columbia County on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Oregon State Police.
The crash happened on Highway 30 near milepost 50.5 at about 1:45 p.m. July 30.
An SUV driven by Cole Jacob Warren, 26, of Clatskanie, was traveling west on Highway 30 when it swerved into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with an eastbound SUV.
The second SUV was driven by William Jacob Kelly, 32, of Astoria.
Both drivers and a passenger in Kelly's vehicle, Ashleigh Annamay Baumgarden, 26, of Astoria, were hospitalized with major injuries.
Two of the patients were flown from the scene to a trauma center.
The highway was shut down for nearly three hours as authorities investigated and cleared the scene.
The OSP is investigating the incident.
