A car was pulling out of a driveway along Marconi and was waiting in the center lane when it was struck by a speeding van, CHP officials said.

Arden Arcade, Calif. – Three people, including a speeding driver, were hospitalized Wednesday morning following a traffic collision involving three vehicles on Marconi Avenue in Arden Arcade, according to a police report.
The accident happened just before 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, on Marconi Avenue, near Montclaire Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a car was pulling out of a driveway along Marconi and was waiting in the center lane when it was struck by a speeding van. The van then struck a second car and both vehicles came to rest at a grassy area of a nearby apartment complex.
The driver of the van sustained major injuries and was hospitalized. The other two drivers were also taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
