Yakima, WA.- Two teenagers were hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Yakima on Tuesday, according to Yakima police.

The accident took place near S Fair Avenue and E Spruce Street on November 11.

The two teens were walking across S Fair Avenue when a southbound SUV hit them.

The driver stopped briefly and spoke with the teens, then fled the area heading south on S Fair Avenue.

Witnesses provided authorities with details on the suspect and the involved vehicle.

Police are searching for the suspect, described as a 62-year-old Yakima man.

The two teenagers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Multi-Care Memorial Hospital.

The Yakima Police Department is investigating the crash.
