San Bernardino County, CA. – Two people were seriously injured in a traffic collision involving a motorhome that happened Saturday afternoon in the community of Landers in San Bernardino County, the California Highway Patrol said.
The wreck was reported around 2:09 p.m. on State Route 247 near Rattlesnake Canyon Road, just past mile marker 247.
A white Ford pickup truck and a 36-foot motorhome were involved in the accident.
An off-duty firefighter who got to the scene before first responders informed authorities that two people required immediate extrication.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims.
Two helicopters were dispatched to the scene to transport the two seriously injured victims to the hospital.
The southbound lanes of the highway remained blocked following the crash.
Police officers are investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
