, CA. – A 14-year-old boy and a 47-year-old woman were killed in a two-vehicle traffic collision that also left a wrong-way driver with serious injuries in San Jose Monday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At about 3:40 p.m. on August 26, officers received reports of a driver traveling the wrong way along State Route 85. After driving for about 7 miles, the wrong-way driver crashed into a Tesla near Saratoga Avenue killing two people inside the Tesla.

The victims were only identified as a 47-year-old woman and a 14-year-old boy, both from San Jose.

The wrong-way driver, a 39-year-old Florida man, suffered serious injuries in the incident.

Highway 85 was shut down for several hours until around 8 p.m. when it was reopened.

San Jose, CA. – Two people died in a collision involving a wrong-way driver on Monday afternoon in San Jose.

The 3:40 p.m. accident occurred on Highway 85 near Saratoga Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A pickup was traveling south in the northbound lanes of the highway when it struck a Tesla.

Authorities say the driver and a passenger in the Tesla were killed in the crash.

The pickup truck driver was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
