A Ford F-550 truck crashed into a GMC, causing a chain-reaction collision involving a Honda CRV and a Chevy pickup truck.

, CA. – Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred on Wednesday morning in Tehachapi.

The double-fatal crash was reported around 7:25 a.m. on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road, north of Oak Creek Road.

A preliminary investigation by the California Highway Patrol revealed that a 27-year-old man was driving a Ford F-550 pickup truck southbound on Tehachapi Willow Springs.

At the same time, a 51-year-old man was driving a GMC 3500 pick-up truck northbound on the same road. Also, a 38-year-old Lancaster man was driving a Honda CRV northbound on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road while a 59-year-old man was driving a Chevy 2500 pickup truck northbound on the same road.

For unknown reasons, the Ford F-550 truck crashed into the GMC, causing a chain-reaction collision involving the Honda CRV and the Chevy pickup truck.

The Lancaster man and his passenger died at the accident scene.

The Kern County coroner did not disclose the identities of the two pending notification of the next of kin.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
