The 39-year-old male driver of the Lexus and his 31-year-old female passenger were killed in the accident
Fillmore, CA. – Two people were killed in a car crash on Tuesday afternoon in Fillmore.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 2:20 p.m. on Highway 126 near Fine Road.
A 44-year-old Oak View man was driving a 2024 Volvo westbound on the highway when he allowed his vehicle to travel into the eastbound lane where it collided head-on with an eastbound 2019 Lexus.
The 39-year-old male driver of the Lexus and his 31-year-old female passenger were killed in the accident.
The Volvo driver was airlifted by helicopter to VCMC in critical condition.
Two other passengers in the Lexus were taken by ambulance to Henry Mayo Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
