The CHP said a sheriff's deputy spotted a driver heading the wrong way on the highway and attempted to stop them but the driver collided with an oncoming vehicle
Fresno County, CA. – Two people were injured in a crash involving a wrong-way motorist near Easton in Fresno County on Thursday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place on Highway 41 and South Avenue at about 3 p.m. November 21.
The CHP said a sheriff's deputy spotted a driver heading the wrong way on the highway and attempted to stop them but the driver collided with an oncoming vehicle.
Both drivers involved in the crash were injured.
The wrong-way driver, Danny Estrada, 50, of Hollister, was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail on suspicion of DUI.
The accident is under investigation.
