, CA. – Two people were hospitalized after being injured in a collision involving a County Sheriff's Deputy early Thursday morning in Visalia.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 2:30 a.m. at Demaree Street and Riggin Avenue.

A Nissan was traveling west on Riggin Avenue when it collided with the deputy's patrol car.

The deputy and a woman in the Nissan were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
