Sun Valley, CA. – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle collision that injured two persons on Wednesday night in Sun Valley.
The accident occurred on southbound 5 Freeway, just north of Penrose Street at 7:39 p.m.
Two vehicles including a white van were reportedly involved in the collision. Police said the van was stopped in lanes prior to the crash. A vehicle was underneath the van following the collision.
A mother and son were hurt in the accident.
A SigAlert was issued closing the HOV lane. The SigAlert was cancelled at 9:13 p.m.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the scene.
No additional information regarding this collision was released.
