LAFD Said Twelve People Were Injured, Five Seriously, When Multiple Vehicles Collided Saturday Night in South LA’s Exposition Park

Los Angeles, Calif. – Twelve people were injured, five seriously, when multiple vehicles collided Saturday night just outside the Exposition Park, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The accident was reported to authorities around 9:46 p.m. in the 930 block of W Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at Vermont Avenue.
Multiple vehicles were involved in the pileup.
The Los Angeles Police Department and LAFD firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene shortly after the crash.
Firefighters evaluated a total of twelve patients for their injuries at the scene. Five of them were hospitalized in “at least” serious condition. Two of the remaining seven patients were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The rest five declined medical transportation.
The report did not mention the cause of the accident or the exact number of cars involved.
LAPD is investigating the collision.
