Stockton, California (September 22, 2023) – One person was hospitalized after a rollover collision that happened Thursday evening near French Camp, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The wreck occurred around 8:16 p.m. on the northbound 5 Freeway, just south of the French Camp Road off-ramp.

A white van collided with an SUV under unclear circumstances. The SUV went about 55 feet off the roadway and overturned. The van was blocking the slow lane after the collision.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported one person to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities did not immediately determine the cause of the crash, but an investigation is ongoing.
