1 Killed, 4 Injured in Car Accident on 71 Freeway near Mission Boulevard in Pomona
Pomona, California (July 3, 2023) – One person was killed, and at least four others were injured in a car crash involving a suspected drunk driver on Sunday night in Pomona.
According to the Pomona Police Department, the accident occurred at around 10:45 p.m. on the Chino Valley (71) Freeway near Mission Boulevard.
A suspected drunk driver reportedly crashed into a tow truck on the highway under unclear circumstances.
The impact of the collision caused the tow truck to crash into the center divider.
A man was killed in the accident.
Police say four people, including two children, were injured in the accident and were taken to the hospital in unknown conditions. The DUI driver was arrested.
