One Killed in Sumner Accident on State Route 410 near SR 167

Sumner, WA – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision early Wednesday morning in Sumner, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The wreck occurred at around 4:23 a.m. on the westbound State Route 410 on-ramp to State Route 167.

A driver reportedly failed to negotiate a curve while driving on SR 410 and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.

A third vehicle was also caught up in the wreck.

The driver who was hit head-on was killed in the accident.

The driver who caused the collision was arrested on suspicion of DUI and vehicular homicide.

An investigation into the deadly collision is ongoing.
