One Dies, Another Injured in Two-Car Accident on Highway 101 in Mountain View
Mountain View, California (August 10, 2023) – One person died in a two-vehicle collision that happened early Thursday morning on Highway 101 in Mountain View, the California Highway Patrol said.
The wreck was reported around 3:47 a.m. on the southbound Highway 101 to the southbound Highway 85 HOV connector.
A black Ford Edge and a black Volkswagen GTI were involved in the accident.
Firefighters responded to the scene and extricated a female passenger trapped in the Ford.
CHP said one person died in the accident.
Another person complained of pain to the arm.
The Ford was towed away with major front-end damage, and the Volkswagen with two broken tires.
Officers are investigating the cause of the accident.
